As the brainchild of Australian producer, DJ and label-runner Chevy Long, Victory Team is a project which, like those of his contemporaries, is based around a heavily associative style - encompassing distinct qualities of many disparate scenes and movements combined and personalized to create an original sound.

Though he allegedly listened exclusively to KISS until his mid-teens, Longʼs introduction to electronic music began with French house and the explosion of Europeʼs various club scenes in the mid-2000s, with artists like Boys Noize, SebastiAn, Kavinsky, Digitalism, and Crystal Castles capturing his imagination early on.

Since then, after having built an impressive name domestically as one half of Indian Summer DJs, Long has shifted his attention to a new generation of producers - exploring everything from French collective Club Cheval to British composer Gold Panda.
