The 2012 Splendour in the Grass festival is heading back to Byron Bay and over 70 acts are set to put on the homecoming party over three days on July 27,28 and 29 2012.

And once again triple j Unearthed will be giving one lucky band from anywhere in the country the once in a lifetime opportunity to be flown to Byron Bay, put up in onsite VIP camping and the opening set of the festival on the Supertop main stage.

BUT wait, there's more! We'll also be searching for three local bands from the Byron Bay area to play during the event. The selection zone for local bands covers the local government areas of Byron, Ballina, Lismore and Tweed, with preference given to acts based in Byron Shire.
To be in with a chance for both opportunities you just need to have your tracks uploaded in either a pending or live state on the site before Sunday midnight June 24th. If you're a local band make sure you have 'North Coast" selected as your region so we can find you. If you already have tracks uploaded you are automatically in the running.
