This new track is a real beast. You've managed to pack a lot into this three-ish minute tune including a creamy, smooth opening, some stomping production, charging horns and a twisted rap bridge. All hail Brow Horn Orchestra.
Such variation within a song allows me to party with hand-claps, fist-pumps and some jumping around. Love this new track!
Love this new track. Some awesome lyrics matched with a great beat left me feeling very satisfied and is definitely a track that i'd love to hear more
I know The Brow are good. I've been listening to them/ dancing to them for a few years now, so I expect a lot, and they've delivered! What I like best about this song, is the maturity in their sound, they're really refining how awesome they are, Karri Harper-Meredith plays a stonking trombone, while Nic Owen's vocals have really gone up another notch. Love this track!
So many members and listed influences, I didn't really know what to expect. But this could really go well down as a summer anthem (or spring, you know, context?). Love the full sound, all those singers, horns and instruments never crowd each other! Could lose the rap I reckon though...
This song makes me want to jump the fuck around!!! The Brow Horn are truly amazing, they have such an innate ability to make your heart happy <3
if this doesn't make you happy, nothing on earth will! excellent work.
"The leaves blow from Perth city down to Heathrow.." Solid intro of sexy bass slides and drums followed with punchy horn riff and catchy vocal hook feels like Summer. All it's lacking are the big smiles, high energy and fierce glares of Rezide mid-verse when this song is performed live.
Have recently become a big fan of these guys. I really like the uplifting feel of this track - makes me smile each time I hear it. Also nice to hear the sweet voice of Minky G in there too. Good stuff.
see this band live, you'll get addicted.
I'm calling it now! It's going to be the hit of the summer :-)
I just got this feeling... a joyous feeling that makes me want to sing and dance! The Brow Horn are definately one of the greats that Perth has conceived. With beautiful harmonies and an iconic horn section, its hard not to feel good when listening to this bunch of talented perth-ians.
Great horns and vocals. How can you listen to The Brow and not be happy?
Awesome song, and shows the diversity of this artist, being quite different from the others. However, it is just a little bit a little bit a little bit a little bit a little bit a little bit repetitive, (Repeat x3) but its catchy and doesn't get in the way of the awesome song.
This party jam is big, brash and...well, Goliath really. By sheer weight of numbers, there's an obvious energy with this group. Will be interesting to hear how their sound continues to grow...now, back to the paaarty!
Such an upbeat song, can't help but smile and nod my head...and tap my foot...and caterpillar on the ground...and take my top off...and jump around haha. Good good stuff! *thumbs up*
Really sweet sounds looking forward to hearing u guys live at (In The Pines) next week should be an awsome show
Really enjoyed this one
Sweet track. Look forward to more tunes!
My two favorite PERTH electronic acts - Somofall and this group, The Brown Horn Orchestra - because they are so different and unique. Although they don't carry the kind of atmospheric Euro sound that I go for like that of Somofall, this group are really talented! And this track is very inventive!
Well written, well recorded and really well mixed. Though despite all this the song never really hooked me in, seemed a little repetitive? Not a bad effort thoguh
I love the Cat Empire, the Bakery, the Barons of Tang... These Brow Horns have a great latin-island groove (are there latin islands?), dynamics you can dance to, uplifting songs. Bring them to the east!
You guys aren't gonna break an records with this stuff. Its not bad, just unoriginal. I just have two words for you. SAX CRIMES!!!!
Amazing. I really cant wait to watch you perform this live.
Awsome sound.Very uplifting ay?
LOVE THIS TRACK!!!! YOu guys rock. Hope this gets some more airplay.
Brow Horn are definately a unique presence on the Perth music scene, and this recording comes the closest to bottling the lightening that is their live sound. Upbeat, horn-heavy and infectiously joyful music.
This is one of the best songs on this site.. Congratulations.. good stuff.. The Art of Politix.. likes your stuff
Defs the best choice for the first single! Everything works really well together. I especially love some of the trumpet work late in the track along with the ol' fake out ending! Keep up the good work Brows.
The only problem is that I'd like to give this at least 6 stars. And Emcee Rezide's verse is my favourite, because it used to be in my favourite Brow song "All The Things To Be".
Very coool, lovin' the vibe, record some more of your stuff!!
Super hot. Super super hot.
As usual a very funky and catchy track! I was very lucky to get a CD copy of the track and have spent the last 15 minutes dancing around in my underwear (Scratch that, in the nick) to Goliath on replay. Feel good, and very well arranged. Particularly love the forest-like vocal breakdowns.
Whilst no recording could ever do justice to the sheer hyper-energetic awesomeness of the Brow's live shows, their recording of Goliath sure comes close. With it's pumping four-to-the-floor dance beat, absolutely killer marimba groove and simple-yet-effective brass line, restraining yourself from shaking it when this tune finds its way onto your speakers is about as hard as keeping up with Rezide's ferocious, rapidfire delivery in the track's midsection. But if you COULD restrain yourself, well, why on Earth would you want to? Get up on there and dance! And if you haven't seen these guys live yet, you haven't lived! Make your way down to the nearest show A.S.A.P. and do your eardrums and dancing shoes a favour.
Super song. Love the groove and the subtle horns. Very refreshing. I sure these guys would play a super live set.
WOW. Cant stop playing, and a great video too.
I like it Guys, cool groove to it and the horns are nice!
Wow what an amazing song, best shit yet from these guys, now i'm dying to see their electrifying live show yet again
Great band, great song, this band is definitely going places!
amazing. simply amazing
Warning... The Brow are addictive but like all good addictions they make you smile and dance madly! An awesome debut release. More please!
Your body moves involuntarily - don't fight it! Enjoy!
Amazing song, it should receive airtime on JJJ.
This rating lacks that one crucial star because no matter how good the recording is, I don't think the energy and talent that this band has when they play live, can ever be captured in a studio. This is great track and I will buy anything Brow Horn record but please, if you're in Perth, do yourself a favour and catch them live, one of best musical experiences you will ever have.
And now your brilliant, catchy song is stuck in my head. Thanks a bunch Brow Horn Orchestra, I'm gonna be singing this all day... and I'm pretty ok with that!
Sooo good! makes me smile.. and I cant help but dance in my seat. Nice one Brows!
makes me jump and sing, lots!
