Justin Ashworth is a muffled sigh of joy in the shape of a boy. He spends most of his time mixing cocktails, playing with his kitten Sashimi, and turning everyday sounds into music. Justin has released 2 independant cds and a book of poetry, composed for several short films, dance works and visual art installations, toured nationally and internationally.
Justin plays guitar, sings, plays keyboards, bass, theremin, percussion. His music combines electronic textures/effects with a live band featuring acoustic and electronic drums, cello, piano, and a stunning live visual show.
Performances range from full band ambient rock/surrealist pop shows, to solo ambient lullaby sets.
Justin's new recording/live project titled "if you go far enough into the sky, you'll come out underwater..." Is an Industrial rock meets electro meets ambient surrealist pop. Think bjork, with a bottle of absinthe, in a living room at the bottom of a lake, re scoring Twin Peaks with Trent Reznor.
If you go... is due in early 2010 With cover art by genius Nathan "Scary Girl" Jurevicius.
