Obdurate Seduction was formed in late 2004, out of a need to create powerful, yet beautiful metal. Each band member brings so much talent and experience to the music it creates a diversity of metal which is not well represented in Adelaide.

Obdurate Seduction derives its power from drummer/singer Natasha Sekulic who’s double kick patterns combine with bass player Tanya Schneyder to really get the metal pumping. Natasha is also an incredibly strong vocalist; she works with co-vocalist (and guitarist) William Fowles to create powerful, yet sorrowful singing and creates an amazing feeling for Obdurate Seductions songs.
While many bands with the option of clean vocals tend to use this for their main melody. Obdurate Seduction love the way older style metal guitarists manage to create melodies that you find yourself singing along to. These melodies are created by the talented pair of guitarists William Fowles and Ben Farrelly. The two feed off each other in combining chuggy riffs, technical harmonies and a few soothing slow moments to each Obdurate Seduction song.

The craftsmanship of Obdurate Seduction music has seen them woo audiences all over Adelaide and even Whyalla. They have played with Melbourne’s Blind Nation and great local Adelaide bands such as: Double Dragon, Cry Murder, Later That Night, and Deafening Silence. With the much anticipated release of their first EP in August Obdurate Seduction are ready for more great shows and supports.

Obdurate Seductions EP was recorded at Soundhouse Studios mid-2006. They were lucky to work with engineer and producer Lara Soulio who allowed the band to create the perfect sound for their music. The EP features 5 unique songs, which were chosen to represent to the variety of musicianship and talent Obdurate Seduction has for creating dark, heavy and powerful music.
To complete the EP it was important for Obdurate Seduction to create art that reflects the imagery felt within the music. The pictures were painted by guitarist William Fowles and design laid out by bass player Tanya Schneyder.
