Tom was a strummer. Jo was a drummer. Tom and Jo jammed in Jo's living room. Tom and Jo had fun and they thought their music was alright. Tom and Jo recorded a few songs, and decided they should be a band called Big Scary, even though it's not very big, or scary.

...Pleased with their efforts with these songs, Tom and Jo decided to record a few more, and make a mini-EP. Tom and Jo then uploaded some of these for your listening and downloading pleasure. The EP as a whole received single of the week in Beat and the band were described as "talented and fearless".

The latest single "Hey Somebody" was launched recently (November 2009) in Sydney & Melbourne, from the forthcoming EP "At The Mercy of the Elements" to be released in Feb, 2010. Simone from Beat gave it single of the week and called it "seriously good shit, packed with anxiety and bravado". At Defamer, Jess McGuire admitted she was "currently losing her shit" over the B-Side "Satisfy Me".

The band are looking ahead with the view to create 'Big Scary's "The Four Seasons"' throughout 2010 - expect new music every season and launches at left-of-centre venues...

A little bit Tame Impala and a little bit Wolfmother. Solid psychedelia with big guitars and soaring vocals: another impressive song.

Strokes. Kings Of Leon. I've heard it all before. I still like it though.

This is sharehouse indie at its best. Catchy guitars, a whimsical hook and a great rock n roll change towards the end, just to give it some balls. Bi...
