What can the crowd expect from you when you hit the stage at the Big Day Out?
Smoke, mirrors, megaphones and gongs. And our band playing songs that are easy to smile along to.
We can hear an exotic mix of instruments in your music...tell us
> >about some of the instruments you play with.
Live its just your standard
guitar/bass/drums/vox/syth/sax/harmonica/megaphone kinda thing, but in recording we love experimenting with heaps of stuff like harmonium, sitar, tabla, juju shaker (with a voodoo curse), gongs, bells, samples and any toy that makes a cool sound. Then we just put delay on everything.
What's the best thing about being in Richard in Your Mind?
We're all buddies who love playing music together and love making the kind of music that we enjoy listening to.
...and the worst?
The poverty.
What have you got planned for the future?
Hopefully not poverty. We've almost finished a mini album that should be out in the next few months and we want to get a full length album out later in the year too.
Australian music is...
sooo hot right now.
