Tell us about your approach to song writing.
To be absolutely honest I don't really have a method - it would be haphazard at best. Songwriting is a strange and personal thing that I still am trying to come to grips with. I get a lot of help and inspiration from the rest of Voss, who help me take my half finished junk and turn it into real music.

What are you hoping to get from the Unearthed Song writing workshop?
Everything I can - Hopefully a better idea of what I am doing right and wrong, and perhaps some clues as to why it seems so easy for other people... It's a brilliant opportunity to meet other musicians. I'm stoked and honoured to be attending.

How are you most looking forward to hearing speak at Song Summit?
It looks like there are lots of interesting things going on - but outside of the songwriting workshop, I am really, really, really excited to to see Dave Faulker and Robert Forster. And absolutely terrified of meeting them.

What’s coming up in the future?
We (Voss) have big for the next few months... returning to the shed and recording new material in technicolour wide-screen, and eventually a split 7" with our brilliant friends from Brisbane, Cascadeer. It's exciting!
