Tell us about your approach to song writing.
Songwriting for me isn’t really a conscious effort. I write because if I didn’t write I would go a little crazy. I get inspired to write when I let myself be open to all that’s happening around me and to me. Honesty in lyrics is really important to me. As soon as I stop being true to myself, the song starts to become a bit contrived. I feel like if I write freely, from the heart, my audience will be able to connect to the song and to me as another human being.

What are you hoping to get from the Unearthed Song writing workshop?
I'm just hoping to be able to meet other people who are passionate about crafting songs and get some tips on fine-tuning my songwriting as well as collaborating.

Who are you most looking forward to hearing speak at Song Summit?
I'm really looking forward to hearing from Robert Forster, Catherine Harridy as well as Angie Hart, Katie Noonan & Lior.

What’s coming up in the future?
I just want to continue writing music, improving my songwritingand getting it out to as many people as possible.

Australian music is?
Exciting, real and varied. Australian artists seem accessible.
